Hi I have a few questions: 1) What are 5 different roles provided by SSRS? 2) RDL files are made up of which language? 3) can I edit the .rdl code associated with linked report? 4) Explain briefly the concept of report rendering? 5) What is report snapshot in SSRS? Appreciate your help!

1) Following are the 5 various types of roles provided by SSRS:
a- Browsers
b- Content Manager
c- My Reports
d- Publishers
e- Report Builder

2) RDL files comprise of XLM (Extensible markup language)

3) you cannot edit the .rdl associated with linked report because linked report because linked report has no .rdl code of its own. It only refers to the .rdl code of the base report.

4) SQL server supports export of report data with design to various extensions such as Word, PDF, Excel, CSS, HTML etc. This process is classified as Report Rendering.

5) Report snapshots simply mean an instance of report for future references. Which also mean a copy of report data is save on reporting server for future usage as a reference.
