1) I'm researching the twitch app.
2) It's delivered as web, mobile and desktop apps.
3) The target demographic for twitch varies immensely. Young children and adults watch games, art streams, talk shows, and even concerts.
The service is no longer targetted towards just gamers. Diversifying content has created a much larger viewerbase. However, there are ammenities throguhout the website that cater to the gaming audience.
4) The pains and gains vary from user to user. The pain of needing a platform to stream, as well as software to stream is solved.
Viewers may want gaming advice, creative advice, emotional advice, or a wide variety of gains.
5) Twitch as a platform offers a completely new medium of entertainment that's become massive over the past few years. Both the
desktop and mobile apps bring higher quality streaming, as well as ease of use. As twitch grows in popularity, its demographic will
also broaden.
It's interesting to note that the target audience grows / is based off user created content. For example, if there are no channels that stream fishing, yet one day a user decides to stream fishing, a new audience can emerge.
I think it's fascinating that twitch isn't limited to one audience, but instead, the users cultivate even more diverse demographics.
